After practicing law for nearly a decade, Charley Spradley founded Spradley Legal Search in 1990 to help law firms and in-house legal departments conduct searches for legal talent.
Charley’s business focuses entirely upon offering business and management counseling for the legal services industry and the placement of experienced attorneys. Over the years, he has provided business and management counseling to law firms and lawyers on issues such as expansion into new markets, law firm mergers, solo and boutique startups, and talent retention.
Charley is highly respected for his in-depth market knowledge and personal relationships with outstanding attorneys. He understands the Dallas community of lawyers better than any other local or national search firm, and his network extends far beyond the borders of Texas.
Charley is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and a native of Dallas, Texas. He serves on the executive boards of numerous local charitable and civic organizations, including the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, Highland Park Independent School District Educational Foundation, and Texas Health Resources-Dallas.
Kristin Cartwright joined Spradley Legal Search as the firm’s Research Analyst in 2015. She brings a breadth of business and research experience, having worked for companies in both the financial and publishing sectors, including Fidelity Investments, Hartman Publishing, and LeBlanc & Associates. Her previous research experience also includes working for Dartmouth’s Office of Development. Kristin earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. As a longtime resident of Dallas, she has served as an officer and volunteer for several civic organizations.
